These lovely Bolga baskets are handmade in farming villages in the Bolgatanga region of northern Ghana and are perhaps the best known of all African baskets. They are woven from local, abundant kinkanhe grass and usually have a goat skin handle, but these ones have leather handles. These unique baskets are functional and durable. They are also great for storing books, throws or toys, and can be used as picnic baskets. Each basket is unique!
